Meet 1

A table of six

Five people matched to you from your answers, and a host to get things going.

An example, not a member list

Your first table could look like this

A table, as we'd match it: Thursday's quiz in Dublin

  • Aoife 29

  • Cian 33

  • Emma 27

  • Tomás 31

  • Maeve 35

  • You?

What your answers do

Your votes build your group

Nobody is ever voted out.

  • Both say DefinitelyThat's a thread, and you'll stay together.
  • Only one of you doesNothing changes, and nobody's told.
  • Either says Not reallyYou won't share a table again, and you don't need a reason.

Meets 2 and 3

Everyone moves

People with a thread move tables together. Everyone else meets someone new.

Meet 4

Your home table

We build it around your threads, with up to seven of you so it still works when someone's away.

Meets 4, 5 and 6

Same faces, every week

Friendships take hours together, and three weeks at the same table is a good start.

Meet 6

Cemented

By now they're not strangers any more. The last meet is on us.

After the season

Then it's yours

Your table can keep its group chat and carry on without us. Or come back next season and meet some new faces.

Quick answers

What does it cost?

Joining is free. You pay for your own plate or pint each week, and the last meet is on us.

What if I miss a week?

No penalty, and your place is kept. From meet 4 you keep your seat at your home table. Tell us by the day before if you can't make it.

Can I join late?

Up to meet 2. After that, you get priority for the next season.

What if nobody says Definitely to me?

You still get a home table, like everyone. Nobody is ever told who chose whom, and you get first pick of the next season.

Who sees my answers?

Only us. If you and someone both say Definitely, you'll both find out. Tables change, so people might guess a little. That's why everyone moves.

Do we get a group chat?

From meet 4, your home table can have a WhatsApp group. Your number is only shared if you tick the box.

Is six meets enough to make friends?

It's a good start. Friendships take time, and a season gives you that time with the same faces. What happens after is up to you.

Can I leave?

Any time, no reason needed. Your table carries on.

Is this dating?

No. Seasons are for making friends, and groups are mixed.

Something wrong? Tell us.

This is separate from the votes. Use "Something not right?" in My sidequests. A person reads every report, and you won't be seated together again.

Want in?

Seasons start in Dublin, and they're invite only. Request yours, and we'll tell you when the next one opens.
